Planet seals by Rudolf Steiner

Animated by Cor van Haasteren (2001)

Rudolf Steiner's planet-seals belong to the unrecognized works of art and science in recent history. They contain wisdom in a unconventional way: he shows us the evolution of the planets in seven distinct but similar drawings, called "seals". Their similarity lies in the overall shape and nucleus found in all transformations. Their distinction is formed by the way they transform into ever new shapes which reflect the stadiums of the planetary evolution, seen through periods of time which are normally not visible by the means of "ordinary science". They are clairvoyant images which depict the inner worlds and therefore escape from the laws of the natural cause. Inevitably, they contain "esoteric language", but how sceptical our view towards these methods might be, we can't deny that these drawings contain a new language of forms, so new and so abstract, that they may be subject of research for centuries to come and a continuous inspiration for artists, scientists and all people with a sincere interest in the evolution of our cosmos.

Especially designed for viewing on the web, these animation series has been designed from the original Steiner drawings and becomes even more dramatic in colour without disturbing the delicate balance of the original metamorphosis.
